What are FIDE ratings?

FIDE (International Chess Federation) ratings are the official worldwide chess player strength evaluation system. Each player receives a number that reflects their playing level - the higher the rating, the stronger the player.

On this page you can find the top 100 best chess players in the world and top players from each country. Data is updated monthly based on official FIDE data.
